Different manufacturers produce distinct part numbers (PNs), and even the same manufacturer may have multiple PNs. Each PN of the touch screen digital glass corresponds to a unique firmware (FW) driver, which is installed on the touch screen digital board (a small circuit board). This firmware is a critical program that ensures proper touch functionality. The PN of the touch screen digital glass and its FW driver must strictly match. If they are mismatched, the touch function of the glass will fail. Therefore, during repairs or replacements, if the new touch screen digital glass has a different PN from the original one, the corresponding FW driver must also be updated.
